About me
Nicky Xandora
I have always been fascinated by how people think, feel, and behave, which led me to complete my degree in psychology many years ago. Since then, I have built a career supporting individuals and families through a variety of roles, including as a family worker and youth justice worker. These experiences gave me a deep understanding of the challenges people face in their everyday lives and the importance of practical, compassionate support.
I later went on to complete my postgraduate qualification in Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) at Oxford University, where I trained in evidence-based approaches that help people overcome difficulties and build lasting change.
My style is down-to-earth and collaborative. I enjoy working with people from all walks of life and believe therapy should feel like a safe and supportive partnership. Together, we explore the patterns that may be holding you back and work towards developing new ways of thinking and coping that promote balance, resilience, and wellbeing.
At the heart of my practice is a commitment to helping people rediscover their strengths and move forward with greater clarity and confidence.
I am a member of BABCP and the British Psychological Society. I am fully insured to work as a therapist.
Additionally, I have recently trained in Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and Compassion Focused Therapy (CFT).
